When the reports that Fratmen’s Spencer would be appearing on MTV’s long-running reality show The Real World came out late last year, I didn’t think anyone would honestly care at this point. It seemed like a mere trick to jack up ratings on an irrelevant show that’s been eclipsed by more shocking fare like Jersey Shore. And besides: what reality TV star doesn’t have a a sex tape — let along a porn career — at this point?
And so Spencer (now better known to MTV audiences as Dustin Zito) denied doing gay porn. As his former career was predictably revealed mid-season Dustin Zito shrugged off what he did for Fratmen as just a little bit of mutual masturbation and a *tiny* bit of oral. You know — guy stuff. Not gay porn. Nope.
But gay porn fans knew better, of course and images and clips flooded the Internet of Zito doing a lot more than jerking off. And more surprising (to me, at least): the story snagged national headlines (Daily Beast and Huffington Post to name a few).
So you’d think Dustin Zito would own up to his gay porn past on the reunion show, which aired earlier tonight? Nope: Zito still stands by his claims that he never had gay sex, even adding the dubious claims tonight that all those photos were “cropped”. Whatever dude … crop this:

Our sister site TheSword reported that Fratmen was sending cease and desist letters to all the gay porn blogs that had published screen caps of Spencer’s anal sex with fellow frat guy David. The images are still out there, but the scenes themselves were live shows (they aren’t hosted on Fratmen’s site) and are pretty much impossible to find.
But why would Fratmen want to scrub the internet of the content that’s responsible for the most publicity and national exposure they’ve ever had? Was there pressure from MTV, or is the porn studio trying to protect its models’ images as real, honest to goodness straight guys (because what’s gayer than two guys fucking each other in the butt)? One report from Reality Blurred says that it was all Zito, and that he was working with his former employer at Fratmen to pull the images and all evidence of his gay sex antics.
We’ll probably never get a straight answer but Fratmen seems to have had a plan to make the most of the publicity from the beginning. Fratmen has just started releasing “unseen” movies from Spencer/Dustin Zito’s time in the Fratmen house, including a very hardcore live show with well hung muscle cub Chase. So while Dustin Zito denounces gay porn and professes his heterosexuality to his Real World housemates and now, the world (Zito even went so far as to make homophobic remarks about gay fans who recognize him), his gay sex life is part of another reality show playing out online. And we know which show I’d rather watch:
